Role overview: a Research Assistant/Executive’s main responsibility is to support a research team in designing, executing and delivering research projects.

Report to: Senior Research Executive/ Research Manager.

Job responsibilities:

1.     Assist project manager to execute tasks required for all projects in general and do project management for small-scale projects. The key tasks include:

  • Design recruitment/ screening questionnaire and standard main questionnaire

  • Format and translate the questionnaire from Vietnamese into English and vice versa

  • Prepare showcards/ photo cards/concept boards

  • Set up quota for projects

  • Cooperate with operation team to set up projects

  • Prepare briefing notes and field training materials

  • Build code frame for OE questions

  • Translate code frame or verbatims from Vietnamese into English and vice versa

2.     Set up and monitor fieldwork (FW):

  • Conduct management briefing for standard projects

  • Attend interviewer briefing

  • Follow up FW progress

  • Observe pilot interviews/ spot check on field

  • Liaise with field supervisor on emerging issues

3.     Assist project manager in:

  • Compute the weight factor and prepare tabspec for DP

  • Data analysis: draw charts and format data tables

4.     Prepare topline report with headline comments

Job requirements:


  • Experience in working at market research companies is a plus

  • At least 6 month – 1 year working experience in the field of market research (for Research Assistant)

  • At least 1-2 year working experience in  the field of market research (for Research Executive)


  • Graduated with BA/MA degree, majoring in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, Finance, Psychology, or Sociology

  • Prioritize candidates who have graduated from international universities in Vietnam or abroad


  • Proficient in English (writing, speaking)

  • Computer literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS (preferred)

  • Teamwork skill and can-do attitude


  • Dynamic and agile

  • Good communication (active, not afraid to interact with strangers)

  • Ability to work under high pressure

  • Patient and careful

  • Good observation and data analysis skills

  • Passionate about learning new things
